Then the thing gets up. It sets out to avenge each of the people it is made from, and every time it takes a revenge, that part rots and must be replaced with a fresh one from a new victim. Saadawi's satire is precise: the creature never runs out of parts, and the definition of who deserves killing keeps expanding.
