Laura Palmer was found dead in the first minutes of Twin Peaks, and the series spent two seasons working out who she had been. This is her diary, from the age of twelve to the week she died, written by David Lynch's daughter while the show was airing.

It starts as an ordinary teenage journal — parties, boys, a horse called Troy — and darkens by degrees as BOB starts appearing in the entries. It is genuinely disturbing rather than a tie-in curiosity, and several details in it were later treated as canon by the series and the film.

An essential companion to Twin Peaks, and a strange, effective novel in its own right.
